Raiders Pass Rusher Maxx Crosby Declares Recovery from Knee Injury
Las Vegas, NV – Oakland Raiders defensive end Maxx Crosby recently announced his full recovery from a knee injury sustained during the 2023 season.
Return to Practice
Crosby, a third-round pick in the 2019 NFL Draft, underwent arthroscopic surgery in January to repair a torn meniscus. He has been cleared to participate in all football activities and has been practicing with the team during organized team activities (OTAs).
Crucial Role for Raiders’ Defense
Crosby’s return is a significant boost for the Raiders’ defense, which struggled with pass rushing in 2022. As a rookie in 2020, Crosby recorded 10 sacks and was named to the NFL All-Rookie Team.
“Maxx is a cornerstone of our defense,” said Raiders head coach Josh McDaniels. “His presence on the field provides our secondary with a much-needed pass rush.”
Optimism and Confidence
Crosby is confident in his recovery and eager to make an impact in the upcoming season.
“I’m feeling 100%,” Crosby said. “I’m ready to go out there and help this team win games.”
Potential Impact for Raiders
With Crosby back in the lineup, the Raiders’ defense is expected to improve significantly. Their pass rush will be more formidable, which should lead to more turnovers and fewer scoring opportunities for opposing teams.
The Raiders open their regular season on September 10th against their division rivals, the Los Angeles Chargers.
