Kate Middleton Has ‘Humanity and Kindness,’ Says Teen With Cancer
During the visit, Kate spent time talking to patients and their families, including 16-year-old leukemia patient Emily. Emily later described the Duchess as “an amazing listener” who “made time for everyone.”
“I met Kate and she was so lovely,” Emily said. “She spent time talking to me and my family about my treatment and everything. She was really down-to-earth.”
Emily’s mother, Karen, added that Kate’s visit was “a real boost” for her daughter.
“It meant a lot to Emily to have the opportunity to talk to someone who is so glamorous and respected,” Karen said. “But Kate also has a genuine warmth and compassion that was really touching.”
Emily’s experience is just one example of the Duchess’s commitment to supporting those in need. Kate has made numerous visits to hospitals and charities throughout the UK, meeting with patients and their families and supporting various causes.
